J Camp: another journalism training opportunity for high school students

Asian American Journalists Association hosts an annual multicultural journalism program that’s free for high school students called J Camp.

This year, J Camp will be held at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles from July 30 to Aug. 4.

Go here for an application and other information.

Applications must be received by April 2. For information, contact Nao Vang, AAJA National Student Programs Coordinator at: (415) 346- 2051 x102 or programs@aaja.org.

Thank you!

Thanks to the generosity of AAJA-Portland members Maya Blackmun, Ruth Liao, Phil Manzano, Joann Ng and Elizabeth Suh, the chapter will cover about half of the cost for an Oregon high student to attend AAJA’s J Camp in Chicago in July. The expense per student is $1,000, which the organization covers in full.

Way to go!
